These are pages which featured in the 'Best Homepage' competition in earlier rounds, but which were beaten by other pages. They did meet a certain standard just to get into the competition, and are not without merit. The competition is not particularly 'fair'... a 'good' homepage may have the bad luck to be grouped with a 'great' homepage in the first round. There's some good stuff in these...

7/08: I'm afraid many of these pages will either be out of date or unavaialble, or even send you "bad" places. It seems that the authors of Ourworld pages can no longer alter their pages. A script in one of mine takes you to a link farm that I never intended you to suffer. See if you can find the present homes of any of these internet pioneers?
