Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game...

... the film

It is late. I have written the other pages in this set today, and I should have been doing other things. But Ender's Game is special, and was worthy of the time spent. (And more time, later, when I can get to it.)

I have to make my comments about the film brief: See it. In a movie theater, where you will have a sense of occasion, where the audio system will be better than you are likely to have at home. Where the screen will be big enough for you to see the amazing detail incorporated into the film.

Wonderful visual effects. Wonderful acting, from "young" (but hardly neophyte... veteran of "Hugo" and "Boy In The Striped Pajamas") Asa Butterfield, who seems to have put a lot of "heart and soul" into his portrayal, from Harrison Ford and Ben Kingsley, and from the rest of the cast.

I wish I had the time to say more now. The film certainly deserves a better recommendation. Go see it. Write the review it deserves! And until I can expand this page, I hope you will enjoy my other pages, which tell you about the other manifestations of Ender's Game, which led to his marvelous film.
