(7/08: Perhaps you can find the current offerings of the following internet pioneers?) Please look at the homepages in the first group of three, and THEN VOTE (7/08: no need, thanks anyway) one 'best' and one 'second best' in the group. When voting, you only need to mention the letter(s) I've given the homepage. Please do the first group first, then the next, etc to the limit of your patience. (If you look at, say, six homepages, please send two 'best' votes, and (optionally) two second best' votes.)

The following are recently (7/08: Ha! "recently" at sometime before 4/08. One of the reasons I started negle cting my Compuserve pages was that updating them.. while still possible... was a pain. Wonder why Compuserve has faded as a web resource....?) added, and if I've had a chance to check my typing, I haven't had time to take this note out. If you find any are not loading, please email me? Ditto & further apologies if I have mistyped names!

I have been trying to get this Website registered with the various search engines. In the course of that, I came across the _excellent_ 'Submit-It!' (http://submit-it.com (N.B.hyphen, not underscore)) It organises postings to a host of search databases, and has a good user interface.
Two search engines that asked to be mentioned are as follows... http://www.stpt.com and http://www.mcp.com
Lycos claims to be _by far_ the largest database of net information. They do have a good search engine. My 'Submit-It! submissions to Lycos and Yahoo seem to have failed.
My all time favourite search engine is Alta Vista. Details in 'Good sites outside CompuServe OurWorld' page (7/08: Ah! Remember Alta Vista? Remember Life Before Google? I bought some shares the day they went public. Pity it was only a small number "for the fun of it"!!)
